Laura Calista

Laura Calista is a San Francisco based singer-songwriter who has called many places home, from  Kansas City to Cape Cod. Her voice floats above her six-string acoustic guitar, harnessing feeling and imagery from beyond and within. For Laura, songwriting is a practice of contemplative play and a window into amorphous beauty. Laura released an EP in 2023, titled The Pulse of Tears. The three-song collection couples guitar and synth instrumentation with an atmospheric simplicity that honors the intimacy and interiority of the songwriting. Laura also collaborates with California musician Jake Burns in the Hidden Meadows duo. Their latest single, "Destiny," was released in July 2024.
